Who Is Dragonfly Properties of NC?
Dragonfly Properties is owned and operated by Dan Sullivan and Mary Connaughty.  In 2001, Mary and I envisioned a new style of living for ourselves and others who like us, were looking for a serene setting in which to live, raise our families, and enjoying peaceful living. With this in mind I left the corporate world in the development of Dragonfly Properties of NC.

I manage the business on a day to day basis, and in addition to holding my North Carolina Builder’s License, I am also a developer and a real estate broker.  I graduated in 1980 from Western New England College with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and in 1982 earned an MBA from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Mary is a full time investment professional, and serves as a partner and advisor to me and Dragonfly Properties.  

We pride ourselves in giving our clients the care and attention to detail that a major life purchase like this deserves. We utilize highly qualified, tried and tested sub-contractors in order to provide maximum quality for the greatest dollar value and end result.

What Do You Mean By: “Committed To Developing and Promoting Peaceful Living”?
Recognizing today’s fast paced lifestyles, we truly want to help people relax and enjoy their private time.  This means helping our clients create a living environment that provides serenity and a connection to nature without all the hustle and bustle of the typical crowded subdivision.  Our developments typically offer large wooded lots and we work with you to design and build a house that suits you and your lifestyle.  All of our properties are equestrian friendly, although you need not have horses to live there.

Financial Advantages – With Dragonfly Properties as the developer and the builder, there are financial advantages to you as a buyer to help keep your cost down.  And for do-it-yourselfers, there are options for you to do some of the work yourself and save some money (e.g. painting, building a deck, landscaping, etc.).
3. Quality – The homes we build are high quality at a good price.  I personally oversee every phase of the construction of your home to ensure maximum value and high quality workmanship.  
4. Easy – Naturally, just as with any complex project, there can be challenges and obstacles during the building process.  Part of my job is to make it as easy and fun for you and your family as possible.  Your role can be as detailed or as hands-off as you choose.  It is your home.
